The Chebucto Community NetVolunteer of the Month!
David Potter
David Potter is more than just another volunteer. A stalwart pillar of the hard working CCN-Tech team, in recent months he has gotten the long awaited Welcome Page with its variable content online and helped answer queries to Userhelp on the subject; developed numerous programs for Chebucto including the domain name change file checker while personally fielding the hundreds of responses from users on the subject; and is currently teaching Unix shell programming and CSuite scripting to novice CCN techs. In addition, he administers the Microsoft section of the Chebucto Public Download Area, troubleshoots the Chebucto Operating System and the Byzantine labyrinth of its directory structures, keeps an eye on Chebucto while away so that he (and a select few in CCN-Tech) might respond quickly in an emergency, donates money to the Chebucto Community Net Society and somehow manages to have time for a life and career outside of CCN. Even-tempered and good-humored, David Potter carries on his work with a grin always at the ready and the easy confidence of a man who has never had a bad hair day.
The Chebucto Community Net Volunteer of the Month page is accepting nominees. Do you know of someone who has gone the extra mile on behalf of CCN? Is there someone on your committee who keeps giving their all without any notice or fanfare? Show them their efforts are appreciated: send an email telling us what it is they have done or are doing.
You may send your nominations or suggestions about this page to: Andrew D. Wright, au141@chebucto.ns.ca
